This women’s duck down and duck feather lightweight jacket is perfect for autumn right through to spring.  The lightly padded Verglas Hooded Down Jacket is super light, meaning you can pack it for any adventure or even leave it in the car for dog walk or the school run. It’s especially useful for skiing or as a base layer and when it gets wet, it’s hydrophobic because it’s treated with DWR so works even better when it’s raining.

There are a variety of colours for the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket including Bright Blue, Alert Red and shades of mustard and purple, which are great for when you’re out at night and want to be seen. The front zip does right up to the chin and encloses the hood around your face, whilst the zips fasten to prevent you losing items in the pockets. There’s a toggle on the waist too and everything compacts into a packet about the size of A4.

I wear a size 16/18 and this jacket does up on me at a size XL. It was a bit snug, but true to the sizing guide on the website. You can see that I was sent the black jacket, which is versatile for what I would use it for – day to day errands, going to the gym and short distances outside. It’s also a premium sports jacket for just about every type of outdoor winter pursuit, and the duck feather and down will keep you warm when you need it to, but also helps regulate your temperature when you’re doing aerobic exercise outdoors as it’s natural fibres. It’s thin enough to carry anywhere too, or pack into a backpack or even a school bag.

I will be using this jacket this winter for the urban and ski life, and knowing that it can be used for so many different activities, the kids will love it too.
