Popcorn isn’t what it used to be. Nowadays, gourmet popcorn is a staple treat for a snack, in lunchboxes and even as wedding favours. The Popcorn Shed are leaders in the ‘posh popcorn’ field and have again released their Gourmet Popcorn Advent Calendar.
Behind the 24 advent calendars, there are little pockets of popcorn in 12 different flavours, meaning there’s 2 of each throughout the calendar. Those flavours are; Salted Caramel, Berry-licious, Pop ’n’ Choc, Pecan Pie, Peanut Butter, Birthday Cake, Classic Caramel, Red Velvet, White Chocolate, Strawberries & Cream, Cinnamon Roll and Pumpkin Spice. Each of the flavours are featured in the Popcorn Shed range which is available all year round and as an added bonus, the advent calendar is also vegetarian! There is a vegan option available on their website.
The calendar windows open to show the packets of popcorn but also a joke behind it. They’re very cute, typical Christmas jokes which children will love reading out as they eat their popcorn bags! Better than chocolate advent calendars, the popcorn treats last longer than one piece or one sweet. Children can also keep the packets of popcorn for later, as there’s no mess with them or melting like you would with chocolate. The different flavours also give the family a taster of what’s available in the rest of the Popcorn Shed, so you can indulge the rest of the year too!
