RINGANA Hair Products Review

Disclaimer – We received this item free for the purpose of this review/feature but all words and opinions are our own.

I have shoulder length curly hair which is currently quite dry and in desperate need of some TLC, so receiving a couple of haircare products from RINGANA was a very welcome treat!

RINGANA FRESH shampoo – 200 ml – £15.79
This shampoo is quite runny but it does lather well on your hair. The shampoo is gentle on my hair and leaves it feeling nice and clean and refreshed. My scalp felt good too with no dryness or itchiness.

RINGANA FRESH hair treatment – 125 ml – £21.17
This product is a multi-purpose product, containing inchi oil to help restore the hair’s natural protective layer. It also preserves colour, thanks to a special heat and colour complex with bamboo and turkey tail fungus. I used it as a conditioner and a hair mask and it is also great to use, mixed with a little water, to refresh curls between shampoos.

I knew it can take a while to adjust to natural shampoos, but my hair quickly got used to both products and looks so much better after 2 weeks. I was really pleased with the results, the products replenished moisture and helped to keep the dreaded the frizz away and my hair is definitely bouncier, shinier and all round healthier than it looked before.

The Austrian award-winning vegan, luxury skincare and supplements brand are quite new to the UK but based on the products The Review Studio have tried already we are confident they will do well! I can’t wait to try some more of their fantastic products!

RINGANA Fresh Soap

Disclaimer – We received this item for the purpose of this review/feature but all words and opinions are our own.

I love soap and enjoy using it so was delighted to receive a hand-scooped, hand-cut, hand-stamped RINGANA FRESH soap bar.

The soap bar was a great size and looked stunning wrapped in the RINGANA hand towel.

I prefer to keep my skincare as natural as possible so the RINGANA FRESH soap ticked that box perfectly.

The purely organic recipe is packed with valuable oils such as almond oil, nigella oil, saponified coconut oil and saponified olive oil.

It produced a great amount of lather and left my skin feeling cleansed, soft and truly cared for.

I used the bar on my daughters skin as she reacts badly to chemical laden products and we were amazed how well her body related to the RINGANA FRESH soap.

The delicate scent was a real treat for my senses and the soap was a joy to use.

I will definitely be trying the other soaps in the RINGANA collection in the future.

Ministry of Soap Review

Disclaimer: We received 3 bars of soap for the purpose of this review however all words and opinions are our own

Natural soap bars are the ultimate in eco and sustainable beauty. Plastic free and usually wrapped in paper they tend to be kinder to skin and smell much nicer than their liquid counterparts, which generally contain harsh chemicals and can lead to dull, dry skin. I love handmade and organic soaps so was thrilled when The Somerset Toiletry Company sent me three soaps from their Ministry of Soap Collection to try.

This sustainable soap collection is made in Somerset with RSPO certified ‘segregated’ sustainable palm oil, 100% traceable from locations where endangered species such as orangutans are never at threat.

Coconut and Lime Soap Bar £5.95

This naturally coloured triple-milled soap bar is blended with the delicious scents of coconut and lime. The natural design combines fruity prints with vibrant highlights.

This soap was my favourite of the three, the combination of zesty lime and coconut was totally amazing and it does a great job of cleansing without drying out skin and the fragrance is a real bonus.

Hemp Lime & Peppermint Milled Soap £8.95

This naturally coloured triple-milled soap bar is blended with hemp essential oil and scented with lime and peppermint. It comes in a natural bag, which makes a lovely change from paper wrapping.

This bar of soap gives a nice lather and doesn’t dry out the skin. I love the fragrance, the lime and peppermint work well together and as it isn’t too flowery my husband and sons liked it too. The large bar is ideal for family use.

Fireside and Moss Milled Soap £5.95

This rich, nourishing soap is triple-milled and scented with the masculine musk of Fireside and Moss, an alluring ode fit for any man’s bathroom. I like the way the soap lathers easily and feels creamy on my skin and it is really moisturising. The soap has kept its shape well and my husband tells me it works well as a shaving cream too.

Have you tried them? What do you think?

Acala Grapefruit Sea Kelp and Sea Salt Scrub Soap Review

Disclaimer: We received a bar of soap for the purpose of the review but all words and opinions are our own.

It’s the last day of #PlasticFreeJuly and I am really pleased with the number of #plasticfree swaps I have made.

Acala is a great place to find fantastic natural, organic and vegan health and beauty products from leading brands which are all responsibly packaged too. They also have a wide selection of their own handmade soaps with delightful sounding names like Chamomile Flowers and Lavender Soap and Rosehip, Orange and Patchouli Soap.

I have been trying the Grapefruit Sea Kelp and Sea Salt Scrub Soap, this soap is beautifully wrapped in recycled kraft paper and the 100g bar is handmade in Wales. It smells amazing in the paper but when in the shower the fragrance intensifies and is really refreshing first thing in a morning.

This 100% natural soap scrub bar gently exfoliates your skin, removing dirt and dead skin cells to leave you fresh and clean and ready to face the day ahead. Antioxidant rich sea kelp works as a skin barrier, protecting skin and locking in moisture. The addition of seaweed makes this soap particularly good for soothing irritated skin.

I much prefer a bar of soap over liquid soap as they are so much better for the environment, lasting much longer than a bottle of liquid soap and more importantly they are plastic free, so perfect for those committed to zero-waste living. I love the Grapefruit Sea Kelp and Sea Salt Scrub Soap and can’t wait to try some of the other fragrances.
